FAQ’s

We’re often asked questions about diving and our scuba diving experiences. Below are some of the most common ones, which should help you get a clearer idea of what to expect.

Getting Started – First Time Diving

  • No experience is needed for our Discover Scuba Diving experience. We keep groups small and guide you step by step, making it relaxed and safe from start to finish.

  • Completely normal. Most first-time divers feel a little nervous. That’s why we keep things relaxed, unhurried and personal. We go at your pace and make sure you feel confident before heading deeper.

  • That’s absolutely fine. We teach you the basics in shallow water first, giving you time to get used to breathing underwater before continuing the dive.

Diving the Zenobia Wreck

  • The Zenobia is consistently ranked among the top wreck dives in the world. She sank in 1980 and lies between 19 and 42 metres, still carrying over 100 lorries. Her size, structure and marine life make her one of the most iconic wreck dives globally.

  • Yes, so long as you are advanced or above. The shallowest parts start around 19 metres, so we tailor the dive profile to match your certification level and experience.

  • Absolutely. The Zenobia is perfect for the wreck course, deep course and even technical training. It offers depth progression, navigation opportunities and incredible structure to explore.

  • Wreck penetration is possible for divers with the appropriate training and certification. Safety always comes first, and we plan dives carefully based on your experience.

Your Experience With Pineapple

  • We don’t boast a huge dive centre, and we’re proud of that. Doing things differently is exactly the point.

Through trusted partnerships with some of the best centres and providers on the island, we’re able to offer everything a large operation can, tanks, gas refills, boats, full equipment hire and even gear if you’re looking to buy. You get all the resources, without the conveyor belt feeling.

We focus on small, intimate groups and genuinely good diving. No being stuck in a group of eight where you’re just another mask in the water. We tailor every experience to you, making sure you get proper attention, proper dives and the best time possible.

  • Smaller groups mean better supervision, more comfort and a better dive. You’re not just another number. You get proper attention and a dive that feels personal.

  • Yes, if availability allows, we can accommodate, however, with our experiences only allowing max 4 divers, it’s pretty personal regardless.

  • We keep our groups intentionally small to ensure quality and safety, a maximum of four people.

Diving in Cyprus & Larnaca

  • Larnaca is home to the Zenobia wreck, one of the top wreck dives in the world. Combined with local shore dives just 20-35 mins away, it’s one of the best places to dive in Cyprus.

  • Some of the highlights include the Zenobia wreck, Green Bay, Chapel, Tunnels & Caves, MUSAN and the Elpida wreck. Each site offers something different, from shallow scenic dives to deeper wreck exploration.

  • Diving is possible year-round. Summer offers warm water and calm seas, while spring and autumn often provide excellent visibility and fewer crowds.

  • Water temperatures range from around 16–18°C in winter to 27–29°C in summer, making diving comfortable for much of the year.

  • Cyprus enjoys over 300 days of sunshine annually and an average temperature of mid 20’s. In peak summer temperates can rise to high 30’s. Because of our great climate, we generally have very calm diving conditions and excellent visibility.

Booking & Practical Information

  • Swimwear, towel, sunscreen, water , lunch if you’d like and a good attitude. We’ll handle the rest.

  • Most dives last around 40 minutes depending on depth and air consumption. We don’t rush.

  • Safety comes first. If conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll reschedule or offer an alternative dive site.

  • Yes. We offer gift experiences for courses and dive packages.

  • All of our pricing is fully transparent. The price you see is the price you pay.

Some centres advertise a low headline price, then add tax, surcharges or equipment rental when you arrive. It might look cheaper at first glance, but once everything is added on, it rarely is. We prefer to keep things clear from the start, no surprises at checkout.

We also only work with reputable training agencies, including SDI/TDI and BSAC, so you know your certification and training standards are recognised and respected.

  • Yes, we’re fully insured and legally covered to take you diving.

Alex completes an annual dive medical to ensure he’s fit to teach and guide, and we maintain up-to-date professional insurance with DAN for added protection and peace of mind. We’re fully registered, qualified and bring years of hands-on experience to every dive and course we run.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page, WhatsApp, email or phone. We reply quickly, usually within a few hours, so you’re never left waiting when you’re ready to plan your dive.
