You will be required to complete a total of 5 dives plus online theory.

About The Course

The Advanced Open Water course (also known as the SDI Advanced Adventure Diver) is designed for certified divers who want to gain experience and continue progressing through the diving certification levels.

Your training is made up of a series of dives, each introducing new environments and techniques such as deeper diving, underwater navigation, and specialty experiences. These dives help you expand your scuba diving skills, improve your awareness, and become a more capable and confident diver.

Training takes place in real dive conditions with small groups, giving you the time and support to grow your experience and continue building on your scuba diving certification.

We offer internationally recognised Advanced Open Water certifications through SDI and BSAC, allowing you to continue diving worldwide and access deeper and more challenging dive sites once qualified.

Diving in Cyprus offers warm, clear waters and excellent visibility, providing ideal conditions to complete your advanced training. With local reefs and iconic sites such as the Zenobia wreck in Larnaca, your training dives take place in some of the Mediterranean’s most enjoyable and rewarding conditions.

  • The Advanced Open Water certification builds on your existing scuba diving certificate and helps you progress through the next diving certification levels. You’ll gain practical experience such as deeper diving, underwater navigation, and specialty dive skills.

    Once completed, your scuba diving certification allows you to dive to greater depths and continue developing your skills through further specialty training.

    This certification is recognised worldwide, allowing you to dive with centres across the globe and explore more advanced dive sites with confidence.

    Your training includes thorough briefings and a strong focus on safety, the completion of all required skills across multiple open water dives, and time spent diving some of Cyprus’ most memorable locations including the Zenobia wreck.

Each adventure dive focuses on a specific skill or environment. You’ll practice under real conditions, see how your body and equipment respond, and get immediate support from your instructor Alex. With small groups, there’s time to ask questions and learn at a pace that feels right.

This certification allows you to join deeper fun dives, tackle more challenging environments, and continue your training with specialty courses if you choose. It’s a key step toward becoming a confident, versatile diver.

  • Our waters range from 18 degrees in the winter right up to 32 degrees in the summer!

  • Yes, we have the latest GoPro and take it on all dives. Once we see your comfortable and relaxed, we will capture some photos and videos for you to remember your experience. We send these to you free of charge!

  • Four people. This keeps the group small, intimate and most importantly safe.

  • We don’t boast a huge dive centre, and we’re proud of that. Doing things differently is exactly the point.

    Through trusted partnerships with some of the best centres and providers on the island, we’re able to offer everything a large operation can, tanks, gas refills, boats, full equipment hire and even gear if you’re looking to buy. You get all the resources, without the conveyor belt feeling.

    We focus on small, intimate groups and genuinely good diving. No being stuck in a group of 8 where you’re just another mask in the water. We tailor every experience to you, making sure you get proper attention, proper dives and the best time possible.

  • All of our pricing is fully transparent. The price you see is the price you pay.

    Some centres advertise a low headline price, then add tax, surcharges or equipment rental when you arrive. It might look cheaper at first glance, but once everything is added on, it rarely is. We prefer to keep things clear from the start, no surprises at checkout.

  • Yes, we’re fully insured and legally covered to take you diving.

    Alex completes an annual dive medical to ensure he’s fit to teach and guide, and we maintain up-to-date professional insurance with DAN for added protection and peace of mind. We’re fully registered, qualified and bring years of hands-on experience to every dive and course we run.
